I awoke from a dream
An acorn of a whim
The earth is not as it seems
Axis rotates within
Eastward prograde motion
Polaris is the northern star
Terrestrial surface rotation
Keeps us all so far
Sleepy stars turn to dream
An acorn from a whim
The moon shines down upon me
Axis orbits within
Eastward prograde motion
Polaris is the northern star
Terrestrial surface rotation
Means we’re not so far
Eastward prograde motion
Terrestrial surface rotation
Sometimes we’re still too far

This is the fourth track on the second album by The Shy Reserve (Both), and also the fourth video made for YouTube from the eight-video series. The first four songs on the album (the A-side) have drums and bass, while the B-side doesn’t. So, this song is the final bell of a certain group of textures before switching gears to a lighter and dreamier touch. It was fun playing slide guitar on this one.
