This one was an ode to my grandmothers and the feeling I had when I was a little kid where summertime felt like it lasted a full year instead of nowadays where it feels like it lasts about three days. Three was a big theme here too. Three months of summer, three girls. It’s a nice blend of fact and fiction, I think (one of the three girls wasn’t real). I’m pretty pleased with it, even if the vocals took absolutely forever to get right.
There are a lot of different things going on here, a lot of various sounds to juggle. I got a bit lucky with the mix on the final track. Most of the tunes needed a million mixes to get the best blend. This one only needed about a thousand (insert winky emoji here).
